Background
----------
	Iceland42: Operation Iceberg

With the entrance of America into the war in 1941, Germany knew that it's position to attack Atlantic sea convoys had been delt a severe blow. To bolster it's presence	in the area, High Command has ordered you to occupy the island of Iceland in order to provide a base for U-boats and aircraft operating in the North Atlantic.

Your starting point will be the Faroes islands, taken	a week earlier during nightime landings, and held by the Luftwaffe in the face of a determined Royal Navy counterattack.Despite best efforts to keep the upcoming landings a secret, British code-breakers have intercepted several German naval communications which have allowed a joint defense force of British and Norwegian troops, along with Icelandic militia units, to begin "digging in" in anticipation of the landings. With 5 full days to prepare, defenses on the island have been improved significantly. Russia, seeing the possibility of conflict with Germany drawing near, has sent a clandestine force to the island to further bolster it's defenses; realizing that any future aid it might receive from the Allies would be shipped through the North Atlantic.

The United States, recognizing the threat to it's own merchant marine, has sent a force to support the island; but as of now it is believed to still be enroute.

				Tactics:

It is of vital imporance that your paratroopers secure an airfield as soon as possible, as the only Axis airfield is on Faroes Island, quite some distance away!	Weather may be bad, so plan accordingly! Failure to do so could be decisive!
Watch for the American reinforcements arriving from the south-west, they could cause problems for those caught unprepared.

Good luck! I hope you enjoy the scenario!
